    The Branford Marsalis Quartet returns to Budapest three years after their last performance there and joins with Hungarian musicians to perform new compositions merging folk music and jazz sensibilities.

    BMQ – back on the road in Europe

    After over a year hiatus due to the pandemic, the BMQ hits the road again for a European tour. The group makes stops in Tbilisi, Gdansk, Warsaw, Krakow, Nice, Perugia, Karlsruhe and Thessaloniki.

    Branford receives an EMMY nomination for composing the music for the History Channel's documentary, Tulsa Burning: The 1921 Race Massacre.

    He is nominated in the category of Outstanding Music Composition For A Documentary Series Or Special (Original Dramatic Score) - 2021.
